Psychological Assessments
The Assessment Process
Frequently with the process of assessment, you will have been referred to me for assessment by another treatment provider or medical doctor. The process begins with an initial interview session, which you can attend either virtually or in person. During this meeting, we'll discuss your background, the reasons for your referral, and any relevant history.
Following the interview, we'll schedule your in-person testing sessions. These are typically arranged in 3-4 hour blocks to ensure thorough and focused evaluation.
Approximately one month after your testing, we'll hold a feedback session, which can also be conducted virtually or in person. At this time, I will provide you with a comprehensive report outlining the findings, relevant diagnoses, and personalized recommendations. My goal is to ensure you fully understand the results and the path forward for treatment.
Neuropsychological Assessments
The neuropsychological assessment process begins with an initial interview, which you can conveniently attend virtually or in person. This crucial first step allows us to gather important background information, understand your reasons for referral, and review your relevant history. It is preferred for you to request your neurologist or referring provider to send your records to me prior to the initial session.
These should be faxed.

Following the interview, we will schedule your in-person testing sessions. These comprehensive sessions are typically conducted in 5-hour blocks to ensure a thorough evaluation of cognitive functioning.
Approximately one month after your testing is complete, we'll hold a dedicated feedback session. This can also be conducted virtually or in person, based on your preference. During this session, I will provide you with a detailed report that includes relevant diagnoses and personalized recommendations based on the assessment findings. The goal is to ensure you fully understand the results and the actionable steps forward. This report will be sent to any treatment providers you indicate to provide for continued care.
Couples therapy sessions are designed to be 55-60 minutes long, with the frequency and duration tailored to the unique treatment plan we'll develop together in your initial sessions. To gain a comprehensive understanding of each partner's perspective, I will conduct one individual session with each of you. Following these initial individual meetings, our couples therapy sessions will typically begin on a weekly basis, transitioning to bi-weekly as we progress and work towards achieving your shared treatment goals.
My individual therapy sessions are typically 50-55 minutes long and are always goal-focused. We'll work together to create a personalized treatment plan during our first few sessions. Based on your unique needs and goals, we'll then decide together if weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions are best for you.
The psychoeducational testing process begins with an initial interview, which can be held virtually or in person for your convenience. This important first step allows us to gather essential background information, understand why you're seeking testing, and review your relevant history.
Following the interview, we'll schedule your in-person testing sessions. These are typically conducted in focused 4-5 hour blocks to ensure a comprehensive evaluation.
Approximately one month after your testing sessions are complete, we'll hold a feedback session. This can also be conducted virtually or in person, depending on your preference. During this session, I will provide you with a detailed report that includes any relevant diagnoses and personalized recommendations based on the findings. The goal is to make sure you fully understand the results and the best path forward for learning and growth.
The bariatric assessment process is designed for efficiency and convenience. It includes a one-hour interview session followed by a one-hour assessment session. Both of these components can be completed on the same day, and you have the flexibility to choose between a virtual or in-person appointment. After your assessment, a comprehensive report will be provided to both you and your relevant doctors approximately 3-4 weeks from your session date.
